On August 6, 2005, I made a day trip myself to Kawarayu and Kusatsu Onsen (Hotspring) of Gunma Prefecture, which is 2 hours and a half away from Tokyo by an express train. It was a crazy, hot mid-summer day with a temperature of almost 40 C, and I enjoyed walking around Kawarayu Onsen Area. It was great to see the view of a big valley. So I hope to come back there in autumn to see red leaves. Kusatsu is one of the most famous hotsprings in Japan, and I enjoyed walking in a town as well as taking a bath at outside bath, Roten-Buro.
